Patient Participation Group
We are looking for new participants.
The PPG meets 4 times a year at Beckington to act as a sounding board for new proposals and to help in improving communications between Patients and the Practice.
We would particularly welcome interest from those groups which are currently under-represented – men; those of working age; teenagers; mothers with children; disabled, ethnic minorities etc.
If you have an interest in the provision of Primary Care to the locality, please contact the Chair of the Group – Gillian Leonard on 01373 831072 / firstname.lastname@example.org, who would be pleased to give more details and to answer any questions you may have.
Patient Reference Network
Would you like to be part of a mechanism that allows us to obtain our patients’ views about the services we provide, and how our Practice can best develop in the future to serve our patients as the NHS changes?
We’re inviting all interested patients to be part of a Patient Reference Network. This will:
- Provide the doctors and staff with feedback and important opinion research about what patients feel about the service and care we provide.
- Help improve the Practice’s understanding of what patients feel is important to them,
- Allow the Practice to undertake up to 3 anonymised surveys per year as a means of identifying how we might improve things for the benefit of our patients.
- Provide the Practice with a wide network of patients across the area to whom we can communicate useful information and Patient Newsletters.
We hope to get as wide a cross-section of our patient population of 9,000 patients as possible, across all of the villages we serve, to sign up to be part of the Network.
If you’d like to be part of this Network, please ask us for a registration form, fill it in and either post it back to:
Beckington Family Practice (PRN),
St Luke’s Road,
…or drop it into the Reception at Beckington, Freshford or Fromefield.
Please do not be offended if you are not chosen as we do need to gather a representative selection of patients.
We have many patients who now contact us by email to order their repeat medication so we hope that many Patient Reference Network members will be happy for us to communicate with them via email. However if you don’t have an email address we’d still very much welcome you as a member of the Network – we will communicate with you via the post.
Thank you from the Doctors and Staff at the Beckington Family Practice.
